Plumbing enquiries
I'm an electrician, not a plumber. EC 9715 covers electrical work. For plumbing, you need a licensed plumber.
Not a plumbing service
I get asked about plumbing sometimes because hot water and gas appliances often need both trades. I handle the electrical side of those jobs. For the plumbing side — pipes, taps, drains, toilets, hot water tanks (not the electrical parts) — you need a licensed plumber.
When you might need both
Some jobs genuinely need an electrician and a plumber. Hot water system replacements often do — especially if you're changing from gas to electric or installing a heat pump. Gas appliance installations usually need both trades too.
If you're not sure which trade you need, describe the job and I'll tell you straight. If it's electrical, I'll quote it. If it's plumbing, I'll say so and you can find a plumber. If it's both, I can handle my side and you can get a plumber for theirs.
